Motorhome Mattress Toppers, Cut to Your Motorhome’s Bed

A topper is the quickest way to make a motorhome bed feel like a proper night’s sleep — to soften a firm fixed bed, add some give to an overcab bunk, or take the chill off a mattress that sits cold against the coachbuilt wall. The trouble with a shop-bought topper is that it only comes in standard sizes, so on a motorhome’s rear island, French or transverse bed — with its cut corners and tapered end — it overhangs or leaves a gap you can feel through the sheet. We cut every topper to your motorhome’s exact bed shape instead.

There are two to choose from above. The memory foam topper adds a soft, cradling layer that moulds to you and holds a little warmth on a cold night; the cool-gel topper adds the same comfort but draws heat away, for summer touring or anyone who sleeps warm. Both are cut to your measurements and your shape — island, French, transverse, drop-down or overcab — and both keep the weight down, which matters against your motorhome’s payload.

Will a topper make a firm motorhome fixed bed more comfortable?

Yes — it’s one of the most common reasons owners fit one. A motorhome fixed bed is often firmer and thinner than the bed at home; the memory foam topper adds the soft, cushioning layer it’s missing, so you’re not feeling the base through the mattress on a long trip away.

Memory foam or cool gel for a motorhome?

If the van sleeps cold — and a coachbuilt often does out of season — the memory foam topper adds warmth and insulation as well as comfort. If you tour in summer, or you sleep hot, the cool-gel topper gives the same softness while drawing heat away. Tell us when and where you travel and we’ll point you to the right one.

Can you cut a topper for a rear island or French bed?

Yes — rear island beds, French beds, transverse beds and their cut corners are our everyday work. Send the measurements or a quick sketch and we cut the topper to match, so it sits flush to every edge with no overhang and no gap.

Will it fit an overcab or drop-down bed?

It will — those beds are usually a straightforward rectangle, but they can be shallow on depth, so tell us it’s an overcab or drop-down and we’ll steer you to a topper thickness that adds comfort without stopping the bed folding or dropping as it should.

How thick is it — will my bedding still fit?

You choose the depth. A topper adds height, so if your fitted sheets are already snug, go for a shallower depth; if there’s room to spare, a deeper topper makes a bigger difference to the feel. We’ll help you pick a depth that works with your bedding.

Does a topper eat into my payload?

Barely — the fillings we use are chosen to stay light, which matters when you’re watching your motorhome’s payload and MTPLM. A topper adds far less than a second mattress would, and it rolls down small so it’s easy to store or lift out when you need the space back.
